1. How does Darma cushion measure my vital signs?

Heart Rate & Breathing Rate

Your vital signs are measured by Darma patented sensor technology. When you breath or your heart beats, your body is moving slightly that you may not even notice. The sensors can capture these micro-movements. They will then be analyzed through advanced algorithms and produce real-time heart rate and breathing rate data.

Stress Level

Stress level is measured through your Heart Rate Variability(HRV).

2. How does Darma cushion sense my posture?

Darma patented sensors can also detect your weight distribution while sitting and provide data for posture recognition.

3. Can I take off the cushion cover?

The cushion can only be disassembled by Darma-authorized personnels. Improperly taking the coat off may damage the cushion. If you need to clean the cushion, please use dry cloth only.

4. Is there weight limit for the cushion?

90~260 lbs(40 kg-118 kg) is the recommended weight range.

5. How to charge the cushion?

The cushion is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack. There is a micro-USB port on the right side of the cushion. Connect the Darma USB cable to charge your cushion, just like how you would charge your phone. The cushion is fully charged when you see a stable blue light.

6. How long does the battery last with one charge?

It usually takes 8-10 hours to fully charge. The battery lasts around 15 days.

7. When do I need to turn off the cushion?

As you leave your chair, your cushion will turn into low power mode. If not used for 3 days, it will automatically turn off to save battery. So feel free to leave it on after work or over the weekend.

8. Can I use my cushion while charging?

No. The cushion will stop collecting data while charging. We want to avoid you getting trapped by the charging cable.

9. Can Darma cushion be used on a couch?

NOT recommended.

Darma cushion is designed to be used on a hard surface with adequate support. The couch surface is too soft and may cause excessive bending to the cushion. That may cause malfunction or damage to the cushion.

10. Can Darma cushion be used on a car seat?

No. DO NOT use it on a car seat.

Car seats are carefully designed to meet safety standards. They provide proper support and friction in extreme conditions. Darma cushion is NOT designed to be used in these conditions.

11. What Apple devices can I install Darma App on?

You can install Darma App on iPhone 4S or newer model, iPad 3 or newer model, and iPod touch 5 or newer model.

12. Can I use Darma APP on an Android phone/tablet?

Yes, as long as your Android device supports Bluetooth 4.0.

13. Can I use Darma cushion without the App?

If not connected to the Darma App, the cushion will still vibrate every 30 minutes to remind you of getting up. However, you won’t be able to view detailed data or get reminders of postures.

Before you get started, please remember to calibrate the cushion so that it knows your perfect and ideal sitting posture.

If there’s any abnormal occasions that might occur, such as fail of internet connection, please try to hold the button for around 20 seconds to reset it.
